Msgr. Anthony M. Missimi will celebrate 60 years of priestly ordination later this year. He served at Immaculate Conception from 1991-2008.
Msgr. Missimi, from New Lexington, was ordained by Bishop Issenmann on Dec. 22, 1962 at the cathedral. He was named a monsignor, with the title prelate of honor, by Pope St. John Paul II in October 1995. He retired in July 2008 and served for brief periods in 2013 and administrator of St. Matthias (Columbus) and St. Mary (Delaware).
